What happens when it seems that Karma has come back to poke you? Sometimes we just need a way to acknowledge and accept it. With everything going on in the world today, we may think we’ve created the insanity and chaos and that it is all Karma coming back to haunt our lives and intrude upon our happiness. But, there is another way of looking at Karma.
The original word from Sanskrit karman means ‘action, effect, fate.’ Our actions effect our fate. So when we look upon our ‘fate’ or what has come into being in our lives, we think about our actions and how those actions may have led to this outcome. Karma sometimes evokes a sense of dread when we think about everything we have done in the past. We can wonder when it is going to come back for us.
Karma can also be good! And we sow seeds of good karma with every thoughtful, considerate, kind and selfless act we perform. So how do we clean up our karma? Well one great way to do this is utilizing the Ho’oponopono prayer.
