[HTML1] LeAnn Thieman is co-author of the New York Times bestseller Chicken Soup for the Nurse’s Soul, plus Chicken Soup for the Christian Woman’s Soul, Chicken Soup for the Caregiver’s Soul…and the list goes on and on with her great “Chicken Soup” literary recipes. LeAnn has been a nurse for over 30 years and her inspiring messages have been featured in Newsweek Magazine’s “Voices of the Century” Issue, PAX TV’s It’s A Miracle Show, CNN, Fox-TV, BBC, and PBS. Negotiations are currently underway to produce her story as a Hollywood feature film! Whoa there!
And get this everybody – as a volunteer for Friends of Children of Vietnam in 1975, LeAnn helped to raise money and supplies for the war orphans. She agreed to escort 6 babies from Saigon to their adoptive homes in the USA. By the time she arrived in Vietnam, bombs were dropping outside the city! LeAnn not only showed outstanding courage, and love for the human family, but she was also greeted with, “Have you heard the news? President Gerald Ford has okayed Operation Babylift. So LeAnn, you’ll help take out not 6 babies but 300 babies!” What a stellar and humanitarian achievement!
