[HTML1] LeAnn Hilgers is the innovative and inspiring talk show host of the very successful The Dream Big Revolution! LeAnn is also a writer and a dynamic speaker. But long before any of these things existed…LeAnn took the initiative to start the revolution within herself!
In the late 1990’s LeAnn was stricken with an unknown illness which prevented her digestive system from absorbing nutrients. This mal-absorption caused severe hypoglycemia and food allergies and left LeAnn critically and chronically ill. LeAnn spent several years battling this elusive illness with no sign of improvement and few resources to help her. At the most bleak point of her illness, and when LeAnn was very thin and extremely weak, LeAnn started taking the martial arts – against her doctor’s advice. …Well guess what? She suddenly found her health quickly improving!
In 2004 she left her home in Canada and moved to New Zealand. While in New Zealand she seized the opportunity to compete nationally in the rigorous Tae Kwon Do. After months of strenuous training, dedication and courage, LeAnn won a Silver Medal! But that ain’t all, people…she also completed a Master’s Degree, graduating not only at the top of her class, but graduating with the highest mark given by the university, First Class Honors! LeAnn is now completing her Ph.D. and travels the world delivering her inspirational and motivational messages of hope and encouragement to the human family!
And this greatness and resiliancy that lives in each and every one of us…throughout the adversity! LeAnn went from hardly being able to move, to becoming a Tae Kwon Do champion and a national motivational speaker! Will power you say…no, spirit power! The willingness to reconnect us back to our roots. Our deep soul connection as an individual, inspiring part of the human family. And as we tap into that “possibility reservoir” so deep within us, we divest ourselves from the ego connection, and truly connect to that “reservoir spring” in everybody else! LeAnn has certainly learned that, and she’s here to tell us all about it on People of Distinction.
