The Happy Wednesday Broadcast!

Today’s quote

“The most important things in our lives are not the things we own or the titles we carry, they are the relationships we create and nurture in our daily lives.”

Today’s tip

Do you try to accomplish too much in a day? Do you consider yourself overworked, overcommitted and/or over-stressed?

I would bet the majority of people would say “yes.” We live in a society that creates an atmosphere of over-achieving and busyness.

That busyness can too easily distract us from the simple joy experienced with friends and family. And what’s worse, that busyness can create lots of unnecessary stress, if we are not careful and aware of it. Stress is not a pretty thing. It can cause depression, fatigue, irritability, withdrawal, insomnia, head aches, lower sex drive and many other ailments and diseases. Some studies suggest that as much as 80% of all major illnesses are attributed to stress.

If we are not careful, our pursuit of things and status can get in the way of what is truly most important and everlasting in our lives. It may be time to take inventory of your life and perhaps re-prioritize and simplify. Your friends and family may just find your newfound peace and joy contagious.

Have a Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for tuning in!
