[HTML1] Kathe Schaaf is a dynamic female leader, helping guide women of the world in the emerging sacred women’s spirituality that we see budding around us. She began her work with Gather the Women Global Matrix, and has moved on to co-found the Women’s Spirit Counsel.
Kathe has seen and felt how the spirit of sacred women has begun to move and change the world we live in. She discusses the Parliament of the World’s Religions, an event that is held every five years to hold up the spirit of sacred women, and move it forward. During the event held in 2004 in Barcelona the women who attended lamented the lack of spiritual female movement, how they did not feel connected to the greater female spirit. But in 2009, in Melbourne, the connectedness of women was felt very strongly. Kathe firmly believes this was due, in part, to the Australian government’s desires to include the Aboriginal’s in the ceremonies, as well as inviting other natives from around the world, as these cultures are still firmly connected to Mother Earth.
The next big thing Kathe has coming for us is a workshop for Women of Spirit and Faith called The Alchemy of Our Spiritual Leadership: Women Redefining Power. This workshop is being held in San Francisco, from April 28 to May 1, 2011, and is intended to bring women of faith and women of spirit together to learn how we can reconnect with our inner wisdom, our leadership and heal the earth. As a gathering of women we can learn how our unique and quiet spirits can be used to bring balance and peace back to our earthly family, and rebuild our earthly home.
