This episode of “Keeping Score” gives women an A+ and shatters the first of many myths about women as leaders. In a survey done in the UK, managers and non-managers were asked to compare the trust levels of male and female CEOs. Female CEOs scored a higher trust percentage than male CEOs! Employees rated women higher than men because women CEOs were able to put themselves in the shoes of their employees and revealed an understanding of what their employees encountered in their everyday lives. In other words women were able to show empathy. It’s the quality of empathy, (that comes naturally to women), that leads the way and gives us a foreshadowing of things to come.
“Keeping Score” has a long list of myths to shatter, so stay tuned each week, same time, same place, as Business Buzz takes an honest count from a real scorekeeper.
