[HTML1] Charles Fox is the wonderful songwriter who wrote the great romantic song “Killing Me Softly“ recorded by Roberta Flack! Just perfect for Valentines Day!
Americans have been inviting this Emmy and Grammy winning composer into their homes for years via their television sets. He’s created many of the greatest theme songs in TV history including Happy Days, Wonder Woman, The Love Boat, Love, American Style, as well as Monday Night Football and The Wide World of Sports, to name only a few. In fact, Charles is the only artist to have had 3 TV Songs in the top forty too!
But having composed for more than 100 motion picture and television scores, being twice nominated for Academy Awards, twice receiving Emmy and Grammy Awards just isn’t enough for Charles—Charles and Hal David, of the songwriting team Burt Bacharach and Hal David (“What The World Needs Now is Love“), have been commissioned to write the official Beverly Hills theme song called, “90210 Beverly Hills.”
And Charles is versatile—he’s also adept with the Classical genre as well. This past summer, Charles conducted a new work that he was commissioned to write by the Polish Government commemorating the 200th birthday of Chopin!
