[HTML1]James Reynolds is known to all of us as the actor who has played the role of “Abe Carver” on one of the longest-running and most popular, daytime TV Dramas ever…NBC’s Days of Our Lives! Jim has portrayed the character masterfully for 29 years, and in its evolution has gone from cop to Commander to Commissioner to the Mayor of Salem itself! James Reynolds’ portrayal of Abe Carver, since 1981, has made “Abe” the longest running African-American character in Soap Opera history!

Days of Our Lives is only one of the many great accomplishments of Jim’s life. He has a military background with the Marines, and served in VietNam until a wound resulted in his discharge. Jim has been deeply committed to charitable work and he’s organized and run the Los Angeles Repertory Theatre! Jim Reynolds has been awarded the Heroes and Legends TV/Film Award; The Soap Chat Viewers Choice Awards when he was voted “Outstanding Supporting Actor;“ was nomination for an Emmy as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, for his work in the series Generations; and received an Image Award nomination for Best Actor in a Daytime Drama by the NAACP!

Jim is listed in Who’s Who in Entertainment, Who’s Who Among African-Americans, Who’s Who in Business, and International Who’s Who.

Al Cole, “Mr. Romance,” has lived some life, and has paid some dues.
