About Juanita Stephens

Juanita Stephens is an Investment Advisor with Austin Wealth Specialists in Austin, TX. Her career began at IBM where she was a Programmer and Manager for 18 years. She successfully made the transition from corporate America to entrepreneur in 1995 when she opened a bookstore with her husband, and later converted that business to an e-commerce gifts and collectibles store.  In 2004 she became an Agent/Owner with Farmers Insurance and Financial Services, proudly serving all of Texas.

Juanita is passionate about education, both for kids and adults.  Through her agency, she offers free monthly financial literacy classes. A native Austinite, she volunteers at several elementary schools; serves as a Board Secretary for Meridian Charter School in Round Rock, Texas, and is active in her local church choir and women’s ministry.

Juanita is married to Paul Stephens.  They have two wonderful children and two grandsons.  They spend their time fishing, gardening and Juanita is an avid crochet buff.

Juanita graduated from Park University and is a financial professional.  She joined Austin Wealth Specialists in June of 2011.

Darleen M. Gilmore, a Certified Financial Planner Professional, has been in the financial planning business for over two decades.  She began her career in Houston, Texas as an entry level manager trainee with a major Wall Street investment firm.  She was soon promoted to Vice President with affiliated offices in Dallas, Albuquerque, St. Louis and Austin.

In 1992 Darleen formed her own firm which is now the Austin Wealth Specialists.  Darleen conducts educational seminars and speaks at conferences such as the Executive Women in Texas Government.

Darleen are also authored a book, “Understanding Biblical Financial Freedom”, which is used at various churches throughout the city.

As a Certified Financial Planner Professional, you can be sure that she provides expert and professional planning services.  To earn the CFP designation, Darleen had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements.  Darleen adheres to a professional Code of Ethics and she fulfills annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.

Darleen is also an active member of the Financial Planning Association.  Darleen is also very active in the community serving on several boards. She is a graduate of the 1998 class of Leadership Texas and was featured on a national television program, “New Attitudes” providing financial advice for a local couple.
