Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #350 was recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts on April 22nd 2019 and features the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, ukuleles and native flute, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today we begin with skipping, beautiful, light “In The Night Of The Shadows”, a lovely evocation of hope driven by Mariam’s chiming 8-string ukulele and Bob’s dancing, naive piano figures. “Amininia” is a rich minor ballad with a lyric based on Mariam’s recent book, “Gaea Star Crystal: Awakening The Tribes Of Light” and “Honoring Mother Earth” is a lush, mystical piece opened with native flute fanfares from Mariam and kept to a pregnant whisper throughout. “Finding The Way In” is a dark and mysterious groove led by Mariam’s tenor ukulele and “Roses In The Garden” expresses springtime joy with a tightly wound, minimalist groove bolstered by Craig’s relentless conga figurations.
