From Mother to Inventor with Krista Woods

Any mom of an athlete knows the battle with the never-ending odors coming from their children’s sports gear. After months of trial and error, research and planning, Krista Woods, mother of three, decided to take matters into her own hands. She invented GloveStix®, an award-winning and patented odor management system using all-natural ingredients. With no previous manufacturing or e-commerce experience, and after only 7 months in business, Krista entered a “Mom Inventor” contest on NBC’s TODAY Show where she pitched her invention. She took home the grand prize, which was a trip to QVC to sell her product live, and she sold out in less than 8 minutes. In 2017, Krista appeared on Shark Tank and negotiated a deal that would propel her to the next level. Tune in as Krista discusses overcoming the fear of leaving her stable job and lifestyle to take a leap into the unknown world of entrepreneurship all while raising her children.
