The Climb to Self-Love with Kara Richardson Whitely

Kara’s habit of turning to food for comfort during difficult times throughout her childhood followed her into adulthood. By the time she finished college, she was 360 pounds and was even further weighed down by her low self-esteem.  Later, Kara set off on a quest to climb Mount Kilimanjaro despite her weight. Only 45% of hikers make it to the summit, but Kara’s drive to prove to herself that she could accomplish whatever she set her mind to pushed her to the top. However, her path to healing her relationship with her past and with herself is an ongoing journey with its own peaks and valleys. Tune in to hear this inspiring mother, author and speaker share her story and wisdom.
