Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #337 was recorded on a brisk January day at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, MA, and features an hour of visionary improvisation from the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, ukulele, acoustic guitar, native flute and celtic harp, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today’s first piece is the lovely, lyrical “Melody Of A Winter Day”, a pretty and light tone poem led by Mariam’s ukulele and descriptive lyric. “Inside Your Mind” is a mesmerizing, minor piece with an enticingly ambiguous tonal center and “Omajina, Blue Wave Goddess” is a lush and mystical gospel ballad distinguished by Mariam’s gorgeous lyric and imaginative piano from Bob. “I Greet The Day” is a native-inflected prayer of gratitude that grows into an ambitious, electronically enhanced piece of deep appreciation for nature and “Returning From My Dream Time” continues the theme of gratitude with a backdrop of native flute interjections and steady rhythm backing from piano and congas. We conclude with the deeply mystical celestial love song “You’re So Sweet” featuring a beautiful dance of vocal and native flute and classically influenced piano from Bob.
Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour with Mariam Massaro can be heard on Dreamvisions 7 Radio Network.
