Most of us grow up being conditioned that conflict is negative. That is an incomplete story. The sense of conflict as being negative robs us of the potential opportunities for change that the presence of conflict can produce for greater growth and wholeness, more effectiveness, love and cooperation in relationships. If we choose to experience conflict as negative, it can potentially place any one of us in a position of feeling or being wrong in some way.
Most of us are not trained in effectively managing conflict when we are growing up. However, good conflict management is about effective management of change which is a part of life. The appearance of conflict can be a normal, natural part of life that can provide opportunities for beneficial change, impart important gifts and strengthen relationships.
When we choose to realize the opportunities that are within what seems like conflict, we can choose to change, to produce the benefits most needed within ourselves, with others or between nations. We can mine the golden opportunities conflict presents to us!
Join us as we explore the psychology of conflict, what conflict really is and how it can benefit us within our own beings, with others and even in understanding the nature of the struggle between Light and Darkness. And we will learn how our own Inner Family Archetypes can unite for the victory of overcoming the challenges of a need for change.
