Spiritual awakening does not have to be a struggle. On the contrary, we can learn to be very gentle and kind with ourselves as we practice A Course in Miracles or whatever our spiritual path seems to be. We need only to show up to life willing to be truly helpful, but without attempting to determine how we should be helpful.
We will find that whatever message we are guided to deliver to others is what we most need to hear. This can be fun! At times our ego mind can get caught up in the past or the future, but more and more we will remember to rest in the present moment and let our mind become empty as the Buddha taught.
Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles that this course will be believed entirely or not at all. What this really means is that we must choose to relinquish illusions entirely if we would be happy. The ego can interpret this as a sacrifice or loss, but really there is nothing to lose. We are simply returning to our natural, loving state of being, and this Self that we are is Glorious!
