Barbara Fontaine is a licensed mental health clinician (LMHC) and private practitioner in Fall River, MA. She is a 2006 graduate of the clinical psychology program at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and a member of the Psi Chi honor society. She has a specialized interest in trauma related disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Her certifications include Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Reike, and as a certified trainer for Family Development Credentialing (FDC). In 2007 she was honored by the governor, the Children’s Trust fund, and the FDC for her dedication in the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and for her efforts to strengthen children and families in Massachusetts. She is a program coordinator for the Treatment Development Corporation (TDC), a member of Recover Fall River- a coalition working to end stigma related to substance use disorders, a member of The Fall River Opioid Task Force, and Project Reconnect- an outreach service provided to individuals and families who have recently suffered an overdose which provides assistance in gaining access to treatment and support services within Fall River and the surrounding communities. She is a long time resident of Dighton, but continues her work in a private practice in Fall River, MA.
