Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #221 features the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic 6- and 12-string guitars, native flute and baritone ukulele, Craig Harris on congas and marimba and Bob Sherwood on piano. Today’s first song is “Renew, Refresh, Restore” a racing, folky, inspiring piece featuring inspired piano from Bob and a fine vocal from Mariam. The mystical, cyclical “Sweep It All Away” follows, featuring Mariam’s compelling native flute. “Room Of Doubt” is from Mariam’s “Gaea Star Crystal: Awakening the Tribes Of Light” album and is followed by the open, eastern-influenced “Going With The Tide”, driven by Mariam’s shimmering 12-string guitar. “Summer Solstice Time” is a ragtime workout with more excellent native flute from Mariam and driving, Joplinesque piano from Bob. We finish today with “Tree Frogs Serenading” featuring crisp marimba from Craig and baritone ukulele from Mariam.
