This show is about the author’s quest to find and understand a creature as rare and enigmatic as any on Earth. I am reading the book at press time and will have finished it before this interview. It is blowing my mind. In 1992, in a remote mountain range, a team of scientists discovered the remains of an unusual animal with exquisite long horns. It turned out to be a living species NEW to Western Science, the first large land mammal discovered in fifty years. Join me to hear about a live “saola” and William’s quest and punishing trek to search for it. Almost sounds like fiction but it clearly is not.
