Practices that help you find and maintain a positive attitude are like crutches for a person with an injured foot. They support you. They help you continue moving. They are there to get you back into action and to keep you from falling down.
When all seems dark and you feel suffocated inside of your worries and your fears, a positive word or thought can be the brick that smashes through the cloudy window. If you can’t hear someone say that positive word to you, if you are deaf to the encouragement given to you by those who love you and want you to feel better, then you must learn to say it to yourself. You must find the brick and pick it up and hurl it through the window to break out of the cycle of worry, fear and anxiety that attaches to us with ease when we lose focus of what really matters and who we really are. The Angels encourage us to Laugh!
