A Thailand toy story in the northern hill tribes


Toys for Thailand, the Gathering RoadThe aftermath of the Asian Tsunami, nearly 10 years ago, prompted the Toys for Thailand programs, first in the Phuket area and later deep in the North Hill Tribe country of Thailand. Director Maria Miller, Faculty Emeritus at Palomar College in San Diego County, talks about the latest Toys for Thailand programs.

Hear about the development of the program, their Hill Tribe Fashion and Gift Show fundraiser as well as the annual Small World Maehongson Festival, which brings together international visitors and hundreds of isolated village Hill Tribe school children to celebrate their cultural traditions.
