Heidi Smith is a Program Manager at Cultural Homestay International overseeing\ various exchange programs that send Americans overseas. Heidi studied abroad extensively in college and basically didn’t come home for nearly a decade. An expert budget traveler, she spent six years of her life figuring out how to survive in the most expensive city in the world – Oslo, Norway. In the meantime, she wrote her Master’s thesis on backpacking culture and has visited 30 countries. In her free time, she is a freelance journalist/blogger.
