The Nevada Humane Society is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in 1932 with a mission to find homes and provide care for homeless pets. Beyond the no-kill shelter policy established in 2007, this organization has set—and achieved—the goal of making Washoe County, Nevada a no-kill community where every homeless pet that can be saved is guaranteed a good home. Kimberly Wade is the Senior Manager of Communications and Events for the Nevada Humane Society, and she joins Speak Up! to talk more about this amazing organization, as well as it’s upcoming “Walk for Animals” Event, which will take place on March 24th, 2014 at the Sparks Marina Park in beautiful Sparks, Nevada.
