Every year on March 8th is International Women’s Day. To help celebrate this important day, WomensRadio is featuring a fantastic organization known as the Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation (People. Everywhere. All. Created. Equal.) , which empowers and educates girls and women in an effort to eradicate gender based violence. Angela Peabody is the Founder and President of the Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation. She is also the first Liberian woman to pen and publish a full-length novel, she is the author of her recently released novel entitled When the Games Froze, and she survived one of Africa’s bloodiest coup d’etat in Liberia many years ago. Angela joins Speak Up! to talk more about what inspired her to begin the Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation.
