Leah McGee is founder of A Chance to Dance, a Lake Jackson, Texas-based non-profit organization that provides professional dance instruction to children with special needs. While at Baylor University studying Education, Leah was a member of the Baylor Dance Company. She also worked with underprivileged children in an after-school tutor program through Mission Waco, a local non-profit that helps the poor and disenfranchised. After graduation from Baylor, Leah went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, where she currently works in pediatrics.
Leah joins Keeping Up with Gen Y to talk about how inspiration can be the impetus for changing others’ lives. She also discusses how the power of a heartfelt mission statement can guide Gen Y-founded non-profits to success.
