Rebekah Epstein, the February Y Gen Entrepreneur, is founder of Fifteen Media, an Austin, Texas-based company that represents brands and individuals in fashion, food, lifestyle, books, health, and beauty. As a student at New York University, Rebekah broke into media at Nylon and Vogue magazines, where she formed tight-knit relationships with national, top-tier media. Later, the Texas native worked at People’s Revolution, the subject of Bravo’s “Kell on Earth.”
Rebekah joins Keeping Up with Gen Y to discuss how transitioning from freelancer to business owner can earn Gen Y more respect in the work world. She also talks about the importance of internships and how, no matter what the job description entails, the life lessons Gen Y learn will be beneficial when starting their own businesses.
