Warren Brush shares a new concept in investing, permaculture as sustainable agriculture. Having purchased an existing organic farm having avocados, pomegranates and a creamery for a family foundation, Warren has moved the farm from simply organic to sustainable agriculture and a resilient food system. The project is named Regenerative Earth and is forecast to produce an overall ROI of 6% for investors while being a highly stable and low risk investment.
By layering life forms in the understory of the orchard, using natural methods of soil regeneration and fertilizing including the multiple benefits of chickens and pigs, permaculture practices are reducing water requirements and other agricultural costs by increasing efficiency. Plus, this system design supports multiple revenue streams through diverse products. The goal is ultimately to expand into local processing the foods to support both local food production and distribution.
