More about Dr. Kaiser: Dr. Richard Kaiser is on staff at Wills Eye Hospital and currently serves as Compliance Officer of the Wills Retina Service; and is a partner in Mid Atlantic Retina, formerly Retinovitreous Associates. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Jefferson Medical School of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Additionally, he is on the active medical staff at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Huntingdon Valley, PA and Abington Hospital, Abinton, PA. Dr. Kaiser is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Society of Heed Fellows, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Club Vitreous and is a past Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Ophthalmic Club of Philadelphia. He serves as Manuscript Referee for several professional journals and is the Principal Investigator at Wills Eye Hospital and Mid Atlantic Retina for clinical trials evaluating new treatments for age-related macular degeneration, and macular edema in CRVO. He has authored numerous publications on vitreoretinal diseases, and has been an invited speaker to present scientific papers at both national and international meetings. His special interests are adult retinopathy of prematurity, diabetic retinopathy and its complications, age-related wet macular degeneration and all surgical conditions of the macula and retina.
