[HTML1]The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Florida (PRCCF) is the only chamber of commerce dedicated to domestic trade between Port of Americas Ponce, Puerto Rico and Port of Tampa, Florida. The mission of the PRCCF is to reach across the oceans to export Puerto Rican products, which do not have a presence in the gondolas of their local supermarkets, and give these products the ability to compete with better products that are USDA guaranteed. Puerto Rico has prime products and Florida has the consumer market, which makes the two regions a perfect match for trade. Nearly one-million Puerto Rican consumers in Florida will benefit from “Grade A,” Puerto Rican products consistently becoming available in Florida supermarkets. The Founder and CEO of PRCCF, Elizabeth Cuevas-Neunder, joins Speak Up! to talk about her organization’s current initiatives, particularly about the elections in Puerto Rico to become a state, as well as its upcoming Florida and Puerto Rican Summit at the Ponce Hilton Hotel in Puerto Rico from March 29th through 31st, 2012.
