[HTML1]The Federal Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Directors Interagency Council’s (OSDBU Council) mission is to exchange information on methods, initiatives, and best practices among the group that supports the implementation and execution of the Federal small business contracting programs. OSDBU members may then use the information provided to them within their respective agencies to effectively utilize small businesses in prime contracts and sub-contracts to the maximum extent practicable. Mark Oliver, who is the OSDBU Director of the U.S. Department of the Interior, is an executive with over twenty-six years of leadership experience in the areas of small business, public relations, educational and community partnerships, along with congressional and legislative relations. Prior to his current position, he served as the Executive Business Management Officer within the Office of the Secretary, Department of the Interior where he was held responsible for working with the Assistant Secretary who managed the Department’s budget, finance, small business, wildland fire, acquisition and property management programs. Mark joins Speak Up! to discuss the upcoming 2012 OSDBU Procurement Conference, which will occur on Thursday, April 19th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC.
