[HTML1] Soles4Souls collects, recycles and reuses shoes from warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of individuals like our listeners. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 13 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently distributing one pair every 7 seconds) to people in 125 countries, including Haiti, Kenya, Nepal and the United States. Clothes4Souls, a new division of Soles4Souls, provides hope for hurting people through the gift of new clothing from manufacturers, designers, and retailers. Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, is a successful footwear executive turned philanthropist and activist who started Soles4Souls after realizing a desire to make a difference in the lives of others through a product he had built a career creating, designing, and selling. His leadership ability has created an organization whose captivating culture and clarity of mission has fostered unprecedented growth and impact in a very short time. Wayne joins Speaks Up! to talk about why he started Soles4Souls and what Clothes4Souls is doing to help those in need over the holidays.

Inspiring way to go, Wayne!
I grew up with hande-me-downs and still haunt thrift shops both by giving and purchasing.
