[HTML1]More about Gretchen Kelly
Gretchen Kelly founded ContentEd — a content-creation business to ideate, write, create, shape and be a brain-in-a-jar for a wide variety of media. Although she has the pleasure of working with many high profile clients, Gretchen Kelly says that bringing all writing dreams to life is a special thrill.
“I love working with authors to midwife their dreams into live birth,” she says. “You know you have succeeded as a ghost when your client reads the copy and believes that they really wrote it themselves.”
She has contributed chapters, sections and ghostwritten several books, including titles by leading culinary, medical and science experts and television personalities. She works closely with leading literary agents such as Katharine Sands, of the Sarah Jane Freymann Agency, developing book proposals that have resulted in successful book deals. In addition she writes white papers, “bloggertorials,”and other industry-specific content for clients and as an official blogger-in-residence for clients, including the countries of Wales and Belgium.
For her first publishing job at Random House, she read the slush pile and answered fan mail for Dr. Seuss and Babar. Kelly moved on to New York publishing houses, including William Morrow, Houghton Mifflin and served as Publicity Director for George Braziller (where she booked a then unknown Orhan Pamuk on PBS Newshour—Pamuk went on to win a Nobel prize in literature).
Creating media campaigns for the Terrie Williams Agency, Kelly’s work with Ruby Bridges led to the author being featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the CBS Evening News and in People Magazine.
When client David Bowie told her he loved “her way with words” and encouraged her to travel, Kelly decided Eat, Pray, Love-style she would journey around the world — as a writer.
Kelly has traveled to 80 countries, writing features for the New York Post, The Travel Channel and many other publications. Her love of film-related travel coined the term“Set-Jetting,” and has led to many interviews with celebrities in film and television–Gerard Butler being her all-time favorite.
More about Kevin Hansen
Kevin Hansen has a lot of regrets. More than 10,000 to be exact. They’re not his personally, but instead have been given to him through the SecretRegrets.com website. Kevin created this confession-based blog in 2007 as an outlet for people to anonymously release the biggest regrets of their lives in a safe, supportive environment.
Kevin has always been passionate about helping people. He’s spent most of his career in business consulting, helping connect business owners and managers to meaningful solutions that really make a difference. While earning his business degree from the University of Northern Iowa, Kevin also studied psychology and human behavior. And now, he’s discovered an amazing way to reach people struggling with the biggest regrets of their lives, and connect them with others who know what they’re going through.
When he’s not busy blogging, Kevin currently enjoys spending time with his wife, children, two cats and dog.
