[HTML1]Lulu Flores is a long time political activist and President of the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC), an organization that encourages women of diverse backgrounds to seek public office and increase the number of young women involved in politics. Flores is a Partner at Hendler Law, an Austin-based law firm, and acts as senior legal advisor providing strategic legal counseling. She has dedicated many years to supporting local causes concerning women including Planned Parenthood of Texas Capital Region, the Women’s Advocacy Project and the Battered Women’s Center, and in 2010 the Hispanic National Bar Association named her “National Latina Lawyer of the Year.” Flores joins Speak Up! to discuss the NWPC’s 20th Biennial Convention and 40th Anniversary Celebration which will be held July 29th through 31st, 2011 at the Liaison Capital Hill Hotel, Washington DC.
