Julie Charette Nunn

[HTML1] Julie Charette Nunn, Crow’s Daughter, is a shamanic herbalist, long-time teacher, herbal crafter, organic gardener/farmer, goat herder and successful business owner from Whidbey Island in Washington State.  She teaches listening as a way to gain access to the abundant wisdom in nature and supports people to open themselves to greater possibility and be prosperous by giving and sharing their gifts. She offers apprenticeships, classes, online and home study courses and individual sessions in the shamanic herbal tradition of the wise woman as well as prosperity coaching and wellness sessions by phone.

Julie began her exploration of the plants in the wild as a young girl on the Olympic Peninsula. She spent twenty years as a school teacher in various alternative settings including Montessori schools and a school for homeless children in Seattle. From her very first year as a teacher, she taught gardening and earth connection to her students.

After taking a class from a local herbalist, Eaglesong of Ravencroft Garden, she felt a profound connection in hearing about the wisdom of the earth and the Wise Woman Tradition. Since then Julie apprenticed with Susun Weed at her farm in NY and studied with many other herbalists around the country. The plants continue to be her most profound teachers.

Julie started selling herbal products about as soon as she began making them. Her flourishing, small business Crow’s Daughter’s Earthly Goods has been in operation for about ten years now and she is inspired by the subtle healing ways of the plants and the nourishing qualities of the herbs she crafts and sells.

“I feel that I am not just a retail company but a resource as well for those seeking to heal themselves.”

As a teacher of the Wise Woman Way of herbs and nourishment, Julie now has her own initiate Crow’s Laughter Mystery School. It is her delight to offer Wise Woman teaching on Whidbey Island and around Puget Sound.

Living on a small farm on Whidbey Island, she and her consort, Taddeusz  are surrounded by wild roses and an abundance of other native plants and weeds as well as incredible birds and insects, coyotes, deer and rabbits.

They have now completed their first big project: a large, fenced in garden near our house, incorporating permaculture techniques into its design. This beautiful garden fives an abundance of ripe tomatoes, zuchinni, pumpkins, borage, turnips, kale, rhutabegas, honey dew melon, fingerling potatoes, delicata squash, calendula, motherwort, skullcap, dandelion, burdock…
