Meggan Watterson, REVEAL

[HTML1] Meggan Watterson is the founder and executive director of REVEAL, a non-profit organization set to empower and advance the next generation of Feminine Spirituality.

Raised in the Universal Universalist Church, Meggan recognized at a young age that the scripture that is basis for Christianity, Judasim, and Islam was told from a strictly male perspective.  The lack of female experience, and how women connect to the divine, caused Meggan to experience a physical, visceral, reaction.  She recognized that there was a core connection between the oppression of women and their voice, and the silence of women within places of spiritual authority.
Meggan embarked on a journey towards what ultimately became REVEAL.  This journey led her to earn a Masters degree from Harvard’s Divinity School and Union Theological Seminary.  She learned how to connect and empower her own inner spiritual, or “soul”, voice.  Through this work she learned to reclaim her female identity as sacred, and to recognize that her inner voice was wise, divine, and authoritative.  By tapping into this knowledge she was able to create REVEAL.
Meggan has since focused her life’s work on on the emergence of the Divine Feminine.  She is also the founder and facilitator of The REDLADIES, a woman’s spirituality group in New York City where women can come together to encourage each other to find, hear, and follow the courageous audacity of their soul.
