[HTML1] In our culture, women look for their Prince Charming that will begin to allow their life to happen. But, what happens when that Prince doesn’t show up in the pre-assigned time or with the required commitment to be a husband and father?
In her book, Just You and Me, Kid, Stacey MacGlashan faced the real possibility that her dream of being a wife and mother may not happen before her body clock ran out.
Stacey didn’t grow up dreaming of being a single mom. She grew up dreaming of being a mom, loving her children and having a partner that made the family complete.
With three college degrees and two careers under her belt, she found herself facing the eneviatable “body clock”. She had certainly thought of the possibility that this day would come and brought all of her skills together to prepare for being a mom through choice. The biggest hurdle, how would she choose a donor?
Stacey shares her journey and the realization that came with her son. “Every day I become more and more certain that my son will lead me wherever we are supposed to go, because his birth was the beginning of my story, not the end.”
