[HTML1] As any new parent can tell you, babies don’t come with a user’s manual. But for those who begin a family later in life, at least they have a few more years of life experience on which to draw. In this installment, which we call “Mindful Motherhood,” Life Love & Health Host Christopher Springmann talks with three new moms, Arianna Beels, Jeanné Ellenby and Sarah Wolf, about the joys, challenges and struggles of achieving “work-life balance” while raising a single child in a highly urbanized environment. The discussion touches on received wisdom, on the job training, careful research, pure instinct and ultimately finding their own voices as moms. And, as any new parent can also tell you (and these three certainly do), making enough space for “me” time is a critical part of the calm, happy worldview so essential to early childhood. Then there are fathers, nursing and the question of having a second child. We can’t tell the whole story here, nor can Arianna, Jeanné and Sarah in the course of “Mindful Motherhood” — because, indeed, this story is all about Life, Love and Health.
