[HTML1] Sharon Riegie Maynard shares a series of Healing the Roots for women’s freedom.
This is the first in a six monthly series. They each will let you sit in on a circle of women who are aware that much of what they have done in life is from a position of non-power. Women have been identified as the nurturers. In the name of love, they have been told to give up their own time, dreams and lives to help others, especially the men in their lives, achieve.
In this series, we will explore the past experiences of women that have created false constructs and social “norms”. These are the experiences in which women were raped, burned at the stake for their intuitive abilities, kept in harems at a man’s will, labeled “evil”, de-valued and aborted or killed as babies, etc.
Our world cannot move beyond its survival and state of cruelty until these old injustices are acknowledged, labeled for what they were and the patterns that women created to survive through them, transformed.
In this first circle we will address our personal stories that have stopped our dreams.
