Rev. Amanda Aikman found that many people in her world found life very distressful, difficult and not a happy place to be.
She began reading books and researching the field of joy, happiness and ease in living. Much of what she found required “work”. So, she decided to create a twist, one that she wanted for those she cared about, an easy, playful way to add joy to your day.
Amanda says, The Full-Spectrum Joyfulness ideas are based on current work in happiness studies, from which I have developed the quickest, easiest, and most effective techniques for creating joyful experiences in the present moment.”
“Most unhappiness is caused by ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. The joyfulness games I suggest have the power to bring you into the present moment and give you a little jolt of joy, no matter what else is going on. We know that happiness is contagious, so this work has the potential to change the world!
For many of us, adding joy to our lives requires taking a risk.
For Rev. Amanda, choosing to take a roller skating class was her risk and she ended up in a group of seven year olds!
What are you willing to risk?
