Weaving The World is a radio show created by Host Sharon Riegie Maynard. Sharon’s questions lead her to a unique view on women, that being heard is paramount to their gift of leadership. Relationships spark ideas and ideas bring action in fields of conversation. Women’s conversations and actions, woven together, will create a new web, a new culture for life. |
As a 21 year old student at Princeton University, Angela Colemen saw a need in her community. There were too many young girls of African heritage at risk. They had few healthy little role models and the media’s picture of them was not acceptable. So, she decided to have a weekly gathering with them. What she began has become the Sisterhood Agenda and grown into an organization with global impact for young girls. |
Ms. Coleman is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in African American Studies. She is changing conversations around the world of how young girls move into womanhood.
