[HTML1]

This week Dr. Gracer’s guest is Andrew Martin, the founder and director of the Serene Center in Long Beach, California. The Serene Center is a unique locale. It is a combination of transitional living and sober living environments. Residents get a unique type of support that includes life skills training, therapy, and even 12 step programs on site. Hear how this type of facility is changing our ways of treating substance abuse and achieving long term success.

Andrew Martin is a successful businessman, whose wife had a severe addiction program from which she eventually died. Andrew was exposed to the recovery community through the Betty Ford Center program for relatives of patients. After his wife’s death he decided to formulate his own unique solution to help those in recovery maintain their sobriety and learn to lead normal lives. He is the founder and owner of the Serene Center in Long Beach, California and is the publisher of the monthly internet-based, Serene Scene Transitional Sober Living Magazine.
