The San Francisco Recovery School Helps Those in Recovery to Help Themselves

[HTML1]

Preston Fordstom  joins Dr. Gracer this week. Preston is the founder of the San Francisco Recovery School, a unique program that teaches addicts how to stop using and how to view the world in a more healthy way. This approach fits right in with the Gracer Medical Group philosophy. This is a very interesting discussion that you will enjoy, and it will give you a lot to think about.

More about Preston Fordstom
Preston Fordstom is a scientist at Amgen. He almost didn’t make it through school due a severe alcohol problem. He tried AA and other methods and found that they did not work for him. He finally found sobriety through the SmartRecovery support groups. He eventually became a group leader and used the tenets that he learned to develop his remarkable San Francisco Recovery School classes. He is currently working on perfecting his curriculum and is making the material available over the Internet.

He offers classes for those in recovery or who want to be in recovery that guide them through the process and helps them support their own sobriety. His program should be part of any comprehensive drug treatment program.
