Inspiration

What do indigenous people have to do with our political worl |
Phil loved traveling to very remote places and was attracted to people who lived close to the land. It is easy to expect that their lives reflect a more natural order. Phil assumed that the shy, timid behavior of the girls and women and the more outgoing, assertive behavior of the men was natural gender expression.
Over the years, he came to understand that what he thought was natural gender differences was a result of gender discrimination. Women were not given a voice, educated, acknowledged, and had come to expect that they knew less than the men.
Did you know?:
-
World wide, women produce ½ world’s food and yet own 1% of the world’s farmland.
-
Micro credit loans systems have shown that women are more effective in bringing the family and community out of poverty. Priorities make the difference.
-
For every $100 that a women makes from her business, she will put $90 back into the family and community while for every $100 that a man makes, $40 goes into family and community.
